Pamela Ferran is a licensed California attorney who earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Howard University and Juris Doctor Degree from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law. While attending Howard University, she was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. She is an accomplished and dynamic professional with 20+ years of experience in political engagement at the local, state, and national level, focusing on grassroots community engagement. Pamela has 15 years of legal experience, and managed a broad scope of litigation, negotiations, and settlements including family and criminal law, and has a record of securing favorable outcomes for all clients. She served as Chief of Staff to City of Oakland Councilmember Loren Taylor where she was the primary policy liaison, tracking all legislation in the City of Oakland. 

 

Pamela is proud to serve on the Executive Board for the NAACP California/Hawaii State Conference. She is also a member of Oakland NAACP Branch's Political Action Committee. Pamela was elected to the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee in March 2024. Her passion and dedication to seeking justice makes her a fierce advocate against any racial inequities. Currently, Pamela is Campaign Manager for former Chief LeRonne Armstrong's City Council At Large campaign. Pamela and her husband Elias Ferran have three daughters and reside in East Oakland.
