A highlight in his religious service was the opportunity with his wife, Leslie to serve as Directors of the Oakland Temple Visitors’ Center from January of 2022 to January of 2024. During this time, it was his privilege to interact with many of the Pastors and leaders of the various churches in Oakland, San Francisco, East Bay and the NAACP. It was his joy to see churches and leaders coming together to serve the people of Oakland and striving to make Oakland a safe place for families that live in Oakland and those who come to visit. It was his great privilege to represent the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the community and to work on projects that have benefitted and will yet benefit the people of Oakland. Serving as Visitors’ Center directors they interacted with approximately 60,000 visitors during their term of service.
